Twin Houses Garden
Twin Houses Garden

A garden embedded in the slope, a landscape of stone, rock colored concrete, light, shade, heat, perfume, a return to nature. The two houses merge into the rock on the slope of the Castle of Sesimbra, surrounded by the Aleppo pine forest, facing the sea. Bushes of mastic tree, rosemary, and wild olive spread to the roofs of the buildings and the slopes around them. The water feature, the circular tank, cools off the summer heat. In the courtyards, vegetation breaks out of the concrete. Small interventions scattered around the property create points of living and contemplation.
